Hole Mouth Jars

The Hole Mouth Jars of the Early Bronze Age are a development of the Chalcolithic Hole Mouth jars. The Rim became thicker and the hole smaller. They were used mainly for storage but also for cooking. This type remains unchanged throughout the Early Bronze Age and is very frequently found in Early Bronze Age sites.
