Metallic Ware

Metallic ware, also known as Abydos ware or Combed ware, vessels were in use between the Early Bronze II-III in the northern part of the southern Levant. Its main feature is a distinctive metallic ring when struck. Metallic ware can appear in various shades of red, brown or grey, and combed like stripes decoration in slanted horizontal and vertical patterns.
