The Late Bronze Age


The Late Bronze Age is the era of the great empires of the Bronze Age. It begins with the expulsion of the Asiatic Hyksos from Egypt and later the conquering of Canaan. During this period Egypt rules over the entire southern Levant. The Late Bronze Age is subdivided into three periods:

    The Late Bronze Age I, ca. 1550-1450/1400 BCE
    The Late Bronze Age IIA, ca. 1450/1400-1350/1300 BCE
    The Late Bronze Age IIB, ca. 1350/1300-1200/1150 BCE
